Virtual Chat for Buyers

IndieMe Virtual Chat is an instant chat feature to speak with artists. It is perfect for a quick question prior to ordering, a simple way to get an order update, or just a way to say hello. Currently, this feature is best used on a laptop or PC. 

When on an artist’s store the Chat button  appears in the lower right corner. You must initiate the chat first by clicking on the Chat button. Take note, the chat box displays your profile picture.

After clicking on the chat button, the dialog box will appear for you to start chatting with the artist.  If the artist is not available (offline), you will not be able to send a message in this way.  You can still use the Make an Inquiry feature and/or Request More Information Form.

NOTE: Keep in mind as soon as you open the chat box on an artist store your name will be visible to the artist whether you leave a message or not!

Your chat session will be available until you or the artist logs off IndieMe.  Currently, transcripts are not available. If you wish to keep the information for future reference, you should take a screen shot of it or copy the information to another place.

When you are finished chatting with the artist click the   to end the chat.

NOTE: If you wish to chat with multiple artists at the same time, you must open a new tab for each artist’s store.
